This once-a-month workshop will be a chance for intermediate and advanced dancers to explore new movement and develop their own choreography. It will be facilitated by an experienced contemporary teacher and will have students working on their improvisation skills, trying new ways to move their bodies both individually and in partners and helping them learn how to explore and put together movements into choreography. This is a highly recommended class for all senior ballet and contemporary students. In order to register for this, students must be in Level 5 or 6 Ballet and must be taking their corresponding contemporary class.
Students in Level 5 and 6 Ballet are highly encouraged to take the appropriate contemporary class, as an understanding of contemporary movement is extremely beneficial to their development in ballet.
