Happy November Everyone!
Hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving and are enjoying this amazing fall we are having so far. It is starting to cool off now however so it is super important that we do not prop doors open letting out our precious heated air.

Come and Pray for Dance On It Studios
Dance On It Studios is growing in leaps and bounds this year and with the growth comes an increasing need to pray for our teachers, students and influence in the community.
You are all invited and encouraged to join us to pray for the school in the Clubhouse Studio the following days and times:

We run an amazing fitness class on Saturday mornings from 10:30-11:20 for a group of athletes with special needs. The class works best if all the kids have individual coaches to help them through the different stations that we work at. No coaching experience is necessary just the ability to count and encourage is all you need. Please contact Tracey if you would be able to help with this class, I can guarantee it will change your life!!!
You have been receiving quite a bit of information lately regarding fundraising so below is a synopsis of how it works:
Norwex: The fundraiser officially runs from November 1-30 samples and forms are available outside the office. Forms must be into Michelle Buck

“He’s Got the Whole World In His Hands” 2014 Year End RecitalThank you to you all for your help in making the year end production such a fabulous success. The performers shone, the audience was enthusiastic and gracious and the volunteers excelled! My heart is so full of gratitude for what God has done over this past 6 years with our school. We sold over 700 tickets and after we paid all the expenses were able to donate $1200 to Children Arise for the work that Andrew and Terry Banman are doing in Uganda. This year alone Dance On It Studios has been able to donate well over $10,000 directly to help children at risk.
C/D’s and DVD’sThank you to Frank Low for taking the amazing photo’s at the recital and Danielle Langlois for the exceptional video work in creating our DVD. The C/D’s and DVD’s are now ready for pick up at the studio. They can be picked up between the hours of 10-2 pm Tuesday- Wednesday and Thursday 9-6 pm. Also the studio will be open the week July 14-18th from 9-4 pm for dance camp. If none of these times work for you please contact us for other arrangements. If you did not get a chance to order your copy they are $6 for each one or $12 for both and can be done via email.
Summer Fitness for Dancers and FamiliesFit For It classes will be continuing on Thursdays from 8:55-9:55 am and 5-6pm for 6 weeks over the summer. These classes are designed for varied fitness levels and are fun for the whole family. The cost for the 6 week session is $40.00 for one adult and $10 for each addition child (minimum age 11) or $25 per Dance On It student registering without their parent. The drop in fee is $8 per class.
Thrifty Smile Card FundraiserLast year Thrifty Foods donated 5% of everything we spent at their store provided we loaded our Dance On It Smile card prior to paying for our groceries. They were willing to donate up to $2000 and we fell shy of that total by about $200 which means that we need more people to participate. This year Thrifty’s has upped their commitment to $2500 so we need your help to reach this goal. Simply pick up a smile card from the studio (or we can mail one to you) and before the cashier begins ringing in your groceries simply load the card with the approximate value of your order using, cash, debit or credit card. Once the cashier has rung through your order she will use the amount on the card to pay for your total bill. If your bill is less than the total amount on the card you will simply have a credit next time you go shopping. This is such an easy way for you to support our school and it costs you nothing……so come on people, lets make this happen
Tap this Fall and our wonderful Kristen LowWe are currently looking for a tap teacher to step in for Kristen Low this fall. Kristen completed her teaching degree this spring and will be fulfilling a life long dream in the fall as she takes on a full time teaching position at Pacific Christian School. Kristen has decided to take a leave of absence for the 2014/15 season at Dance On It to get established in her new career. If you know of a qualified tap teacher who you think would fit in well with our amazing teaching staff please contact Tracey.
Contemporary this FallIt seems this year has been a year of dreams fulfilled and Lisa Meier has left our school for that very reason. Lisa’s husband Franz has begun an internship in Katmandu, Nepal this June so this is where they will be living for an unknown length of time with their four children. We will miss Lisa tremendously but Emma Gillespie and Katrina Welle will be stepping into the void Lisa left by offering a Level 2 Jazz class that will include a contemporary component. So if you took Contemporary last year Level 2 Jazz will be a great choice for the fall.
Adult Classes this FallThis fall we will be offering some 6-8 week sessional classes for adult. Adult Lyrical Worship, Hip Hop and possibly a Ballet class so stay tuned for more details in the next newsletter (August) or contact us so we can let you once the day and time is set.
